Andrew Katersky joined Crescit Capital Strategies in 2020. He has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience both on the development and banking sides of the business. Additionally, Andrew has worked out troubled assets with both Lenders and with investment partners. Prior to joining Crescit, Mr. Katersky was a Director of Underwriting at Centennial Property Finance, where he oversaw a team of Analysts and Associates who underwrote a varied portfolio of transitional real estate loans.
Before joining Centennial, he was a full-time Consultant at Natixis Real Estate Capital, a role he held for five years. During this time, he performed many functions for the bank, including establishing policies and procedures for CMBS and transitional loans (origination, pricing, structuring, underwriting, due diligence, and securitization/syndication). Additionally, Mr. Katersky was also responsible for the underwriting, credit approval, closing, and securitization of the Canadian Lending Program.
Previously, Mr. Katersky was a Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston in both New York and Los Angeles, later as the Head of West Coast Underwriting at Natixis Real Estate Capital. At these firms he underwrote, funded, securitized, and sold in excess of $30 billion in fixed and floating rate loans, equity participations and bond offerings.
Prior to working on the banking side of the real estate industry, Mr. Katersky was the Manager of Financial Services for Cushman Realty Corporation in Walnut Creek, CA, and San Francisco, CA, where he analyzed over 300 lease transactions for the firm’s clients. He began his real estate career in his family’s shopping center company, learning about the business from the ground up. This included the day to day management of a 1.3 million square foot retail portfolio during the recession of the early 1990’s.
Mr. Katersky holds a B.S. in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
